The six-part series “Bomb Girls” offers a fictionali ed account of an often overlooked part of Canadian history: when women took over the work in our munitions factories during the Second World War. Step back in time and experience life during the 1940s as war erupted and the world changed forever. Set in 1940s Toronto, “Bomb Girls” explores the lives of five different women who find themselves thrust into new worlds building bombs on the assembly line in a munitions factory. While they’re building bombs, women also find themselves flourishing with newfound freedom, discovering strengths they never before imagined. At the same time they’re often woefully under-equipped for the new challenges they face.
