After being cancelled and then resurrected, Drop Dead Diva is priming up for an exciting new season. The Lifetime series is currently filming in Atlanta and have announced the news of the addition of actor Justin Deeley.The network broke the good news on their Facebook page. “Thank you fans! We met the goal in record time! Meet southern heartthrob Justin Deeley, Jane’s new guardian angel! Trust us, you’re going to LOVE him this season. What do you think??”
Fans of the series had to unlock an image of Deeley to find out the casting news, The Hollywood Reporter shared. Deeley has been enlisted to play a guardian angel, Paul, in the fifth season of the show. His character is described as both gorgeous with an adorable personality. Paul is a likable free spirit in the truest sense of the word.
Lifetime previously canceled Drop Dead Diva in January before making the decision this past March to bring the series back after finding alternatives to finance the production.
Deeley is best known for his roles in CW’s ‘90210’, the comedy movie ‘Couples Retreat’, ‘Hughes the Force’, ‘Devolved’, ‘Never Fade Away’ as the character Bryce Sutton, ‘Last Day on Earth’, the short ‘Angela Wright’, the series ‘Victorious’ as the beach guy and ‘Roswell: The Aliens Attack’.
