Former âSaturday Night Liveâ star and âBridesmaidsâ actress Kristen Wiig has booked a guest role on an upcoming episode of The Simpsons, Entertainment Weekly reports. Wiig will voice the role of an FBI Agent in the episode entitled âHomerlandâ that sees Homer acting odd after attending a nuclear power plant convention.
Concerned over her fatherâs behavior, Lisa calls on an agent for help to get down to the bottom of things. The upcoming guest role for Wiig marks her second trip to the hit Fox animation. She previously played a substitute music teacher, Calliope Juniper, who piqued the interests of Principal Skinner.
Wiig will show up in the series’ 25th season, set to air in the fall. She joins guest stars Aaron Sorkin of âThe Newsroomâ and comic book extraordinaire, Stan Lee, who will also appear in the same season. Wiig is currently working on âAnchorman: The Legend Continuesâ with previous roles in âThe Secret Life of Walter Mittyâ, âGirl Most Likelyâ, âFriends with Kidsâ, the TV series âPortlandiaâ and the alien comedy âPaulâ. Wiig has voiced roles in âDespicable Meâ and âHow To Train Your Dragonâ.
