Will Luther ever find peace? His portrayer Idris Elba doesn’t think so.
Ahead of the season three premiere, BBC One has released an interview with the star that both offers teases for what’s ahead and deeper insight into the troubled, but brilliant protagonist that is John Luther. Among the juiciest tidbits is the news that Luther will be getting a new nemesis in the form of a man named Stark, who is savvy enough to use Luther’s own techniques against him.
As for how Elba feels about Luther’s future, the actor says: “No, I don’t think he’ll find peace; no, I think he’ll always seek people who do wrong. He’ll seek it out and they’ll seek him out.”
