It’s summer. Time for BBQ’s, block parties and big event movies and TV. In general, we take a break from much of our more complex, intricately weaved, serious or otherwise high-minded entertainment fare. As mentioned in our series premiere review, Ray Donovan, almost by nature of what it’s about, strikes a nice balance between the dramatic and more fantastical elements of the show. It’s not fantasy in the traditional dragons and magic sense, but there is a wish-fulfillment aspect to this show.
