Dancing With the Stars Week 7 Results: Did the Right Couple Go Home? Free on klikvideo.com

With the hot and heavy lineup of salsas, sambas and rumbas — not to mention the Immunity Challenges and Dance-Offs — that filled the ballroom floor during Monday’s Latin Night festivities, you’d think the tension level going into tonight’s Dancing With the Stars’ live results show would’ve been equally si ling.

But unless the DWTS producers were planning to pull a fast one via some inexplicable vote-tallying shenanigans (or if Sean Lowe’s hormonally-driven fan base took Monday night off), only one celeb — Andy Dick, at the bottom of the Judges’ Leaderboard with a paltry 17 — seemed likely to bid a fond farewell to his Mirrorball Dreams. That said, Carrie Ann’s ’5′ for Andy’s rumba was way harsh. Lighten up, girlfriend!

The other sure thing going into tonight’s results: An on-fire Kellie Pickler, whose 29 points for last night’s sensational samba trumped Aly Raisman’s equally-scored salsa (Pickler’s higher season-long totals broke the tie), earned the country songstress a DWTS first — immunity from elimination.

Given this Week 7 lull in the ‘who’s going home’ drama, it’s no surprise that tonight’s show featured a buffed up series of performances, highlighted by silky smooth crooner Michael BublĂ© and So You Think You Can Dance stars Allison Holker and Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, accompanied by violinist Lindsey Stirling. And how could you not be inspired by Boston marathon bombing victim (and ballroom dancer) Adrianne Haslet’s moving segment?

But without further ado, here’s the real moment of truth — tonight’s results:

FINAL THREE COUPLES LEFT “IN JEOPARDY”

Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff

Ingo Rademacher and Kym Johnson

Andy Dick and Sharna Burgess

FINAL TWO COUPLES LEFT “IN JEOPARDY”

Ingo Rademacher and Kym Johnson

Andy Dick and Sharna Burgess

ELIMINATED

Andy Dick and Sharna Burgess

“I’ve been talking about it from day one … it’s just been the best,” said Andy, fighting back tears before directing a playful jab at the ‘5’ he got from Carrie Ann (“It was all your fault!”). Before departing, the funnyman added, “The fact that we were here on Week 7 has been ama ing,” and then graciously thanked all the fans. “It’s been a wonderful ride.”

And with that, it’s your turn. Which couple should have really gone home tonight — or was it truly Andy’s time? Did you get a jolt of joy from the inspiring Camden Sophisticated Sisters performance? Sound off in the comments!

The Mindy Project Review: The Amazing Race Free on klikvideo.com

I had forgotten all about Morgan sending Danny’s letter to his ex-wife, but it all came flooding back to me when guest star Chloe Sevigny appeared on screen. When Danny fired Morgan my shock matched that on the faces of Mindy and crew, but Morgan did cross the line. By the end of “Triathlon” it was Morgan who helped Danny cross the finish line, but turned his old boss down when asked to come back to work, in another interesting twist.

Crossing the Finish Line

Sevigny’s tried to enlist Mindy’s help to get Danny back, while Mindy’s relationship with the episode’s other guest star Anders Holm came close to falling apart. We have yet to see religion play a big part in Mindy’s life so far, but when Casey mentioned her possibly converting to Christianity she embraced her Hindu heritage. It doesn’t define her, but the thought of abandoning her faith just did not sit well. Apparently that wasn’t the only thing making her uneasy as she vomited at the race forcing Danny to step up, put on her shoes and try to best Morgan in the final leg.

Betsy was cute as she tried to help Mindy explore a new religion and made Mindy’s Sons of Anarchy reference possible.

Mindy: It’s like Sons of Anarchy in here ok? And none of the young hot characters, just like, the old ones.

There were some subtle jokes like when Mindy thought Betsy said she didn’t like New york City bagels because they were “jewy” instead of “chewy.” I also loved her Shopping is My Cardio tee. I’m not sure if I admired or pitied Casey as he kissed Mindy on her vomit scented mouth, but that was some affirmation of his feelings for her. Danny meanwhile reached out to Christina and made plans to meet up. Any chemistry the two doctors were building as of late, seemed to be shelved for the foreseeable future.

Which couple do you think will last longer?

Revolution: “Home” Review Free on klikvideo.com

Warning: full spoilers for the episode follow.

Only time for a quick review this week, but wanted to touch on this very soapy episode of Revolution. It often feels as though the writers on Revolution are playing some grand-scale game of mad libs. Story threads, plotlines and characters arcs are picked-up, dropped and then abruptly returned to with alarming regularity. Generally speaking, television shows will weave in various storylines throughout the course of a season. Lost was famous for beginning one character’s backstory and then continuing on several episodes later. The central characters full histories took seasons to unfold, in fact. The intertwining of the various tales, particularly in the first season, was done with finesse on that series, though. As a viewer, it felt as though we were being lead through an intricately crafted labyrinth, and were in the hands of people who had the map.

The Following Season Finale Recap: Boom Goes the Denouement [Updated] Free on klikvideo.com

The following recap contains spoilers for the season finale of The Following. If you haven’t watched yet, be gone! Everyone else, read on…

Remember the The Following‘s pilot, when a really evil, highly intelligent man slayed several prison guards in his intricately planned scheme to break free? Remember how shocking it was when one of his spindly limbed female followers showed up and shishkebabbed her own eyeball just to ensure that a note of terror would ring in the FBI’s ear for as long as her idol was alive?

RELATED | Season Finale Scoopapaloo a: More Than 100 Spoilers on Your Fave Series’ Endgames

That version of The Following was scary because it gave off a sense that nothing was safe, that evil was better, smarter and faster than us, and that it lay in wait absolutely everywhere: In short, there was no haven from The Raven. This week’s season capper is just as expertly acted (if not more so) than the season premiere, but the fright it conveys is derived from jumpy moments of shock instead of the all-encompassing dread the series so beautifully built in its first outings.

Will that type of fear be as compelling in the series’ second season? And will our protagonist even be around to find out? Let’s review what went down in the season finale, “The Last Chapter.”

DEB IN A BOX | As Ryan’s peering out the sheriff’s office window, a kid wearing a Poe mask approaches the building and is stopped by an officer. For reasons I cannot fathom, no one makes the twerp take off the rubber mask until Ryan and Mike come outside – and even then, it doesn’t happen fast enough. Guys, this is the exact mask you saw in the followers’ hideout! Who’s to say that’s not just a really short insane-o? When the mask comes off, the kid inside tells them a woman named Emma gave him $ 20 to wear it to the station. Ryan finds a number written on the inside; when he calls it, Debra answers, because the followers left her a cell phone when they buried her alive.

She, understandably, is NOT OKAY about being interred by nutjobs in the middle of nowhere. Ryan asks a series of soothing questions to try to discern her location; Mike guesses she has, at best, five hours’ worth of air. Hardy, Weston and some backup ride off to where the followers’ car has been found. Soon after they arrive, though, Ryan reali es it’s a set-up… and that’s when Alex the follower begins shooting at the group. Hardy eventually creeps up on the sniper and stops him, then informs Captain Turner (you’ll remember him as the man who did not want Ryan connected to the case in any way) that they’ll transport Alex in their car. Unspoken by Ryan: “Because we’re going to beat the poo out of him until he gives up Debra’s location.” Actually spoken by Turner: “Do what you need to do.”

TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE | Once they get him to an abandoned warehouse or something of the sort, Alex’s “I’ll never tell” ends the moment a lead pipe hits his legs and Ryan’s thumb enters his eye socket. (Ick. I will never get used to the eye trauma on this show.) Alex sings like it’s the Knockout Rounds, and as Ryan and Mike are on their way to the location he gives them, they talk to Debra again. She weakly asks her colleagues to tell her sister and parents that she loves them, then tells Mike “you’re a good man, don’t lose that” and informs Ryan “This is not on you… I am not your fault.” Mike is nearly crying as he promises that they’re almost there, which makes me love him all the more.

At the site, Alex watches while Mike and Ryan dig to save Deb. (Side note: Did anyone else think, from the way things were going, that this was going to be a fake-out site, with Deb actually languishing elsewhere?) But no, she’s actually in the crate – and she’s not breathing. For the love of God, will someone call for an ambulance or backup or anything? I’d settle for a well-outfitted AAA truck at this point. Ryan does about two seconds of CPR on his boss before deciding it’s a lost cause. Both men weep as Alex watches with a smile on his face, calling Deb’s death a “bummer.” His snarking is the only incentive Ryan needs to walk over and put a bullet through the acolyte’s forehead – woah – and then (nicely) threaten to shoot Mike if he tries to follow. See, the followers slipped a copy of Joe’s manuscript into the box with Debra, and Ryan knows exactly where he’s going.

TO THE LIGHTHOUSE | After a brief rende vous with Emma that ends in him being drugged, Ryan wakes in a house near a lighthouse on the small island where Joe is keeping Claire. Earlier, we saw Joe’s ex needling him about his literary overkill (“It’s a motif, Claire” was my favorite part of that exchange) and meeting another captive, a poor guy who was hired to bring a boat to the island and then was hobbled so he couldn’t run. I’d care more about getting you that guy’s name if Joe hadn’t stabbed him violently in an odd bid to make Claire reali e that she wasn’t responsible for the deaths of Joe’s college-student victims. “I earned them. I own them. They are mine,” he asserts.

Anyway, Joe’s still drinking and taking pain pills as he qui es Ryan on when he first fell in love with Claire… and somehow turns it that Ryan was kinda sorta in love with Joe, too. It’s an interesting hypothesis, and not without basis: Whether it was romantic or just brotastic, Ryan looked quite happy the night that Joe invited him in for a drink, remember? I just wish it had been explored more before Joe was a sweating, half-drunk, whacked out loon with a gaping wound full of silverware festering underneath his natty turtleneck.

There’s lots of back-and-forth and Claire-threatening before Ryan manages to grab Joe’s gun and chase him out into the night. The men eventually do battle in a boathouse full of combustible materials; soon after a bullet pierces a fuel tank, the structure is aflame. Joe and Ryan exchange one last look before the place collapses, ostensibly killing Carroll. Yay?

The next morning, Mike and the FBI are on the scene. Dental records and DNA say the partial remains that have been recovered are Joe, but both Claire and Ryan look wary. He takes her back to Brooklyn, where they’re allowed exactly one relieved kiss before Molly breaks in and slices Ryan, outing herself as a follower as she tells him “You were always my chapter.” Claire exits the shower and finds Hardy gasping for air on the floor… then soon she’s down beside him after Molly stabs her, too! And… bloody scene!

Now it’s your turn. What did you think of the episode? Are you wondering what happened to Ryan’s alcoholism and heart problems? Do you think Ryan and/or Claire will make it through to Season 2? And the biggie: Is Joe really dead? Grade the episode via the poll, then sound off in the comments!

Revolution Season 1 Review “Home” Free on klikvideo.com

Revolution Episode 15 Home (9)

This week Revolution went ‘Home’. As part of their neverending game of cat and mouse, Monroe lured Miles into a trap by taking their entire hometown hostage. This included Emma, Miles’ ex-fiancee and Monroe’s ex-lover. Meanwhile, in the Plains Nation, Aaron found the wife he had left behind fifteen years ago.

Dear reader, are the writers playing some sort of cliche bingo, seeing how many tropes they can hit in each episode?

It was easy to see how the episode would end as soon as it started. Take Emma, for example; Miles already has Norah and Rachel, and Monroe, the bad guy, can’t be given something that makes him happy, so Emma’s death was telegraphed from the start. The only surprise here was that her son belonged to Monroe, not Miles, although that will probably come up for debate later on. Why did they even need to have a woman who had been with both guys, anyway? Why wasn’t the threat to their hometown enough to lure Miles out? Hell, at this point Monroe could just have asked Miles to meet him somewhere and the big ego would have done the rest.

Aaron’s storyline was absolutely pointless. He finds his wife, they make their peace and then she goes off back to the family she made after he left. Now what? Presumably Aaron will continue on as he always has, being the techy geek (who now doesn’t get to be involved in the techy side of things) who hasn’t lost any weight even after walking for well over a thousand miles. (Seriously, can someone explain that? How is that even possible?) Unless Priscilla pops up again soon to help with the Militia and/or tower situation, this added nothing to the show.

It wasn’t all bad though. Kelly Foster, president of the Georgia Federation, wanted a new soldier to keep tabs on Miles and his rebel army, and since her own man was useless at this, she went for Neville. (He apparently went to her with intel after the events of the past few episodes.) This was great, and the idea of Miles having to play nice with Neville in order to keep Georgia sweet is kind of awesome. It sets up some great father/son conflict when he sees Jason again, which is a bonus.

Overall, a decent watch, but one that had the potential to be so much better. Here’s hoping Neville makes things a lot more interesting for the rebels, and for us, next week.

What did you think of ‘Home’, dear reader? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

RFD-TV to broadcast George Jones funeral

RFD-TV announced that it will broadcast a live feed of the public funeral services of country legend George Jones direct from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville this Thursday, May 2, beginning at 11am ET/10am CT. FamilyNet will carry a delayed feed of this broadcast, beginning at 3pm ET/2pm CT.

George Jones passed away last Friday at the age of 81. He was a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1956, so it is appropriate that the public will be able to say their farewells to him there. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to the Grand Ole Opry trust fund. More details can be found at georgejones.com.

In a press release from Webster & Associates announcing that George Jones’ funeral service would be open to the public, publicist Kirt Webster said, “George would have wanted his fans and friends everywhere to be able to come and pay their respects along with his family.” A private visitation for family, friends and fellow performers is taking place Wednesday evening.

“George Jones touched upon the lives of our viewers like few artists can,” said Patrick Gottsch, founder of Rural Media Group, Inc., the parent company of RFD-TV and FamilyNet. “He’s both a music legend and a symbol of the style of country music that has always been true to the heart of rural America. George has visited our Nashville studios many times, performed with many of our programmers and been a dear friend to RFD-TV and our viewers. This is the least we could do to honor his life.”

Broadcast of the George Jones memorial service airs May 2 live beginning at 11am ET/10am CT on RFD-TV.

The Following Scoop: Live on the Red Carpet! Free on klikvideo.com

Excitement was high last night at the Leonard Goldberg Theater at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in North Hollywood, thanks to a screening of The Following season finale, which was followed by a Q&A with the cast and creative team.

Prior to the screening, I was on the red carpet and grabbed a few minutes with stars Kevin Bacon (Ryan), Natalie ea (Claire), Valorie Curry (Emma), Executive Producer/Director Marcos Siega and creator Kevin Williamson.

Besides talking about the roller coaster ride of the opening 15 episodes, I received a few hints as to where things could go in the second season. Watch now for the scoop, starting with the show’s mega star himself. Take it away, KEVIN BACON!

The Voice Recap: Rock Out With Your Knockout Free on klikvideo.com

For a show that’s all about good vibrations and international warm fu ies, The Voice can sometimes be a frustrating mistress.

Take, for example, the Season 4 Knockout Rounds, where Adam Levine and Shakira all too often pitted their best singers against each other in sudden-death faceoffs, while allowing lesser vocalists to slip into the live voting rounds like mold on the underside of a package of blackberries. (Yeah, I know, that metaphor didn’t quite work, but at three bucks a container, you’d think those juicy little treats would last more than 24 hours in the fridge. Sheesh!)

But if you’ll allow me a crack at another food metaphor, tonight’s two-hour telecast was like having a waiter say “For your first course, you can choose between a divine flourless chocolate cake and a rich caramel bread pudding! And for your second course, you can either have a handful of dried-up raisins or a raggedy slice of dried mango.” As the philosopher Q-Tip once put it, “Now why you wanna go and do that, love, huh? Now why you wanna go and do that and do that?” (And by “that,” I mean eliminate Shawna P and Warren Stone from the competition.)

PHOTOS | The Voice: Top 20 Contenders Headed to the Season 4 Knockout Rounds

Still, what’s done is done. The coaches have their reasons, and even if their reasons include knocking out the toughest competitors for their pre-ordained chosen ones prior to giving the power to the people, I’ve got no choice but to cut to the chase. So without further ado, let me get to the business of listing the Knockout Rounds champs from best- to least-least- to most-impressive winner.

Team Shakira: Kris Thomas (Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World”) defeats Mary Miranda (The Police’s “Every Breath You Take”) | If “What a Wonderful World” was a gorgeous spring salad (I know…my mind is really stuck in the refrigerator right now) then Kris’ approach was to drench it in an entire bottle of dressing (aka unnecessary runs and trills and general gaudiness). A total catastrophe! (And this after Shakira told the dude to dial it back). At least he managed to stay on pitch, though, unlike Mary, who seemed tentative about the melody right from the start, was consistently sharp through the bridge and the final chorus, and gave the song all the energy of a leaky battery. I’m still hoping if I play this one back on my DVR, that Shakira will say, “And the winner of this Knockout Round is…Shawna P!”

Team Shakira: Garrett Gardner (Alex Clare’s “Too Close”) defeats Tawnya Reynolds (Pistol Annies’ “Hell on Heels”) | Shakira’s like a month-old honeycrisp apple when it comes to Garrett: Her soft spot is deep and unmistakable. So even though the quirky rocker boy fell behind the beat and seemed to run out of air on a song that Melanie Martine covered much more intriguingly in Season 3, you knew he was (pre)destined for the win. That’s a shame, really, considering Tawnya’s robust, conversational spin on “Hell on Heels” was actually really good.

Team Adam: Caroline Glaser (Of Monsters and Men’s “Little Talks”) defeats Amy Whitcomb (The Animals’ “House of the Rising Sun”) | Amy had a si eable fan base from her time on The Sing-Off, but her “HOTR” was a let-down, peppered with flat notes on the verse and veering into screamy, barely musical territory for the latter third. Caroline’s may have had some pitch issues, too, and her pronunciations might be too affected by half, but Amy essentially handed her the key to the live rounds. (Alas, though, imagine if Warren had beaten Caroline, and Sarah had beaten Amy? Much more satisfying outcome, no?)

Team Shakira: Sasha Allen (Etta James’ “At Last”) defeats Shawna P. (Paul McCartney’s “Maybe I’m Ama ed”) | Sasha’s been heavily hyped since Moment One, but like a crossing guard during rush hour, her rendition of “At Last” kept me at arm’s length. There was, dare I say, a hint of smug satisfaction on Sasha’s face as she delivered the number — a certain sense of “See what I’m doing here?” — that felt at odds with the roiling rapture of the lyrics. Shawna P, on the other hand, brought an almost religious fervor to “Maybe I’m Ama ed” that unearthed a bluesy, world-weary side of the song I never knew existed. The Voice, though, seems more risk averse to “performers of a certain age” than i did back in the innocent days of Season 1, and thus the younger, more glamorous Sasha advanced. Not that she’s not super-talented in her own right, it’s just that Shawna was better. How’d Shakira pair these two up again? Because “Shawna” and “Sasha” sound kinda similar? Phooey.

Team Adam: Judith Hill (Willie Nelson’s “Always on My Mind”) defeats Orlando Dixon (K-Ci and JoJo’s “All My Life”) | Judith definitely dominated Orlando in terms of power and pitch perfection, but it wasn’t all good news. I can’t be the only one who felt like Season 4′s early front-runner transformed Willie Nelson’s gorgeously simple melody into something so complicated that it bordered on tortured. Yes, Judith looks the part of a pop star, but if she doesn’t adopt a “less is more” philosophy for the live rounds, she could be an early surprise evictee.

Team Shakira: Karina Iglesias (Lenny Kravit ’s “Are You Gonna Go My Way”) defeats Monique Abbidie (Celine Dion’s “The Power of Love”) | I don’t care that Karina didn’t pick a song that served as a massive vocal showcase: “AYGGMW” was exactly the jolt of rum that the Knockout Rounds punch bowl needed — especially with that choice twist of stank she gave to “one by one-uh-uh” and the fearsome low-note treatment she gave to that one repetition of the chorus. Monique, so fiesty and fun in the Blind Auditions on “Loca,” turned into a completely different performer tonight. Her grasp on pitch was as tenuous as trying to climb a flagpole covered in Crisco, and her choice of a dreary old ballad brought her inner “former child star” — and not in a good way.

Team Adam: Amber Carrington (Avril Lavigne’s “I’m With You”) defeats Midas Whale (Stevie Wonder’s “Higher Ground”) | I went into this bout rooting for Midas Whale (and Idol alum Jon Peter Lewis), but their somewhat jarring harmonies and off-putting final note opened the door for Amber, and she walked right through with a powerful vocal that stretched her upper register in surprisingly nifty ways. Yeah, picking one of Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope’s signature covers wasn’t smart strategy, but with careful mentoring, she could be a contender.

Team Adam: Sarah Simmons (The Rolling Stones’ “Wild Horses”) defeats Warren Stone (Cutting Crew’s “(I Just) Died in Your Arms Tonight” | I’m still reeling that two of my very favorite performances tonight wound up in a head-to-head, duelt-to-the-death battle. URGH! Warren had me at his choice of Cutting Crew, but turned me into a serious fan with a performance so committed that I spied at least three of his vital organs on stage when he’d finished singing. Sarah, meanwhile, brought to the stage her ethereal (and very distinctive) combination of angelic upper register and crackling banshee wail on “Wild Horses,” making me believe every word coming out of her mouth in the process. I didn’t even mind that she dressed like a hippie bride! Warren’s ouster, though, just proves that The Voice needs to install a single “Steal” in the Knockouts in Season 5. Who’s with me on that? Holla in the comments!

And with that, it’s your turn. What did you think about Night 1 of The Voice‘s Season 4 Knockout Rounds? Was anyone robbed? Who lucked out with their pairings? How I Met Your Mother: "Bro Mitzvah" Review Free on klikvideo.com

Warning: Full spoilers from the episode to follow.

If nothing else, tonight’s episode of How I Met Your Mother was full of surprises. Of course, when it comes to throwing Barney Stinson a bachelor party, there almost has to be a few bombshells, right? Well, as far as Barney knew, the answer was “wrong.”

Indeed, it was a mite curious at the start of this week’s episode when Ted and Marshall had seemingly set up the worst bachelor party of all time: business hotel venue? Balloon contortionist clown? An Inconvenient Truth drinking game — okay, that last one actually sounds pretty fun, but definitely not up to Barney’s legendary standards. And that was all before Lily showed up with Ralph “The Wrong Karate Kid” Macchio, who as it turned out was a lot like Barney (much to Barney’s immense dissatisfaction). But the topper was a surprise appearance from Quinn, who Ted and Marshall had “unwittingly” hired as the party’s stripper.

Red Widow Season 1 Review “The Coke” Free on klikvideo.com

Red Widow (ABC) Episode 7 The Coke (28)

It’s such a shame that things have gone down the way they have with Red Widow. It’s been three weeks since our last new episode, and as I worried, the inopportune timing of the break has decimated its viewership. This is disappointing because the relationship between Schiller and Marta is captivating. With a little bit more time, the show could blossom, but it will probably not get that chance.

This week, Marta took care of some serious business. While I was initially bummed to see Mike return, he played a useful role in revealing to Marta that Irwin was responsible for Evan’s death. Finally, Irwin got what was coming to him. Not only did Marta put a bullet through his hand, she disowned him. Mike also let Marta in on her son’s escalating criminal behavior. Gabriel has been a self-centered fool ever since his father died. Marta has largely left him unsupervised – or worse, supervised by Irwin or their father. When she confronted Gabriel about his role in Mike’s beating, I wanted to stand up and cheer. She didn’t yell or get angry. With a voice heavy with heartbreak, she told him that his behavior had made her feel ashamed in front of one of the last people in the world she should feel shame in front of – the man who kidnapped and tried to ransom her daughter. That clearly hit Gabriel like a roundhouse to the gut.

For the minor storylines, Marta’s sister slept with Agent Ramos. I don’t find this relationship very interesting. The show could cut loose Ramos without sacrificing anything important. He’d at least be better as an occasional recurring character. Petrov’s (and his son’s) girlfriend was gunned down in an alley by Schiller’s man who was aiming for Irwin. We have no reason to believe that Schiller ordered this hit and every reason to believe that Patrick acted on his own because Irwin bungled their cocaine sale. The only reason Patrick’s death is significant is because he was wearing the boots that Evan’s killer wore. Now Marta thinks that Schiller is behind Evan’s murder.

Before this turn of events, the relationship between Schiller and Marta was heading in an intriguing direction. Marta was almost killed by Schiller’s cra y father, but rushed him to the hospital when he collapsed. Schiller showed up and was frantic. After trying to keep him from storming the room, Marta called out, “Nicholae!” Both Marta and Schiller fro e. It was an electric moment where you felt like there is something between these characters. Schiller is taking heat from several sources about his weakness for Marta. Can it be true that he is actually developing feelings for her? It seems like it. But this comes to a screeching halt once he finds out that she dumped his cocaine in the bay. Or does it?

If the show continues, the Marta/Schiller relationship needs to be at the heart of it. Watching Radha Mitchell and Goran Visnjic together is fun and tense. Next week, it looks like Marta will confront Schiller about his role in Evan’s death. On the one hand, I think there is no way Schiller would have done that. On the other hand, I think that’s exactly the type of thing Schiller would have done. This unpredictability is what makes him fascinating to watch.

I know there’s probably little hope that we’ll get a second season. With so many bad shows on television, it’s a huge loss when something decent doesn’t get a chance to shine.

Dog and Beth On The Hunt recap: Big Trouble in Little Clovis

This week on Dog & Beth: On The Hunt, Dog, Beth and Leland steer the mobile command center to gritty Clovis, New Mexico, near the Texas border, to come to the aid of Hank Bayless.

Hank has been in the bail bonds industry for 30 years as the proprietor of Hank’s Bail Bonds. His daughter Rebeccah and granddaughter Ruby also write bonds, along with newbie Dawn. Bounty hunters Oscar and Will provide the muscle of the operation. Hank is ready to retire, but he has a guy or two he wants to capture before he turns the business over to the ladies. So he’s called in the Chapmans to help.

The first order of business for Duane, Beth and Leland is a weapons check. Oscar says his primary weapon is his taser gun. Will prefers mace. Leland tells them it’s important to have several types of non-lethal weaponry on them, so they have as many opportunities as possible to bring down their bounties without pulling a gun.

Leland demonstrates a pepper-ball gun, which looks and works like a paintball gun and provides both a chemical and physical deterrent. He also suggests that the men wear special gloves to protect their hands from bites and other damage done during violent scuffles.

Meanwhile, Beth gets to work on the administrative end of the business with Ruby, Rebeccah and Dawn. She discovers that the Baylesses don’t use bond writing software, resulting in an avalanche of paperwork and folders strewn across their desks. Then she learns that they also get all of their bond information off of the booking sheets alone, resulting in some seriously incomplete forms. And finally, she finds out that the ladies have never been on a bounty. Beth tells them you have to be able to catch what you write, like you eat what you catch when you’re fishin’.

The first guy the group is hunting is Marquise Cooper, who was arrested for battery of a household member and has been on the run for 2 months. Will says he knows the guy but hasn’t seen him in over a year. Before everyone heads out, Beth asks the Bayless crew if they have verified the warrant. Seems people can turn themselves in, get bailed back out on a fresh bond and give bounty hunters some serious legal trouble for false arrest if they’re still operating off of the old one.

Dog also informs everyone that once we head out in pursuit of Marquise, we aren’t coming back till we have him in our custody. Then he leads a prayer for the safety of the hunters and the hunted.

Dog is proving himself to be an adept and especially irritating backseat driver — from the passenger seat. Beth says she likes Duane. Dog, not so much. Especially when he gets like this while she’s trying to drive. He grins and barks at her. Leland, Oscar and Will travel together in a separate car.

At the home of Marquise’s aunt, a child answers the door and looks dumbfounded at what stands before her. When the aunt appears behind her, Dog tells her it’s better for Marquise if they get to him before the cops do, but she says she hasn’t seen her nephew and knows little about his whereabouts. But, she tells the hunters, Marquise has a girlfriend who drives a red and white Camaro. We have something to go on.

Beth takes over the discussion and presses her for more information in patented Beth, one-woman-to-another fashion. The woman finally agrees to lead them to a house where Marquise has been known to hang out. The convoy arrives at the house and surrounds it.

Dog bangs on the door and the woman who answers it looks positively thrilled to find a TV star on her doorstep. But, she tells him, Marquise has left hours before. The Camaro, however, is still in the driveway. Dog asks if they can search the house and she reluctantly agrees.

Still outside, Beth notices a red truck pull away and recalls that the girlfriend’s mother drives a red truck. Beth suspects Marquise has managed a getaway. Leland is the first in pursuit of the truck and calls to confirm a pretty unique detail: “Ask her if he has steel balls hanging from the back of the truck.”

Like, those kind of balls. It’s a boy truck, if you know what I mean.

We have an affirmative on the balls.

Everyone heads off to help pursue the manly truck. There are a lot of red trucks in Clovis, but eventually they happen upon the right one.  It is headed straight for Beth and Dog, with Leland and the Bayless bounty hunters not far behind it.

And Marquise is caught.

As the bounty hunters drag him to the ground Marquise wails that he is scared to death and professes no clue in the world why they are after him — especially with such a vengeance. Dog hugs his neck and pats him on the head and back and reminds him of his offenses. Then they show him the warrant. Marquise’s current girlfriend says he is gentle as a lamb, which he demonstrates by calling Aunt Jackie on Beth’s phone and telling her he isn’t mad at her from helping bring him in. At least right now. While the cameras are rolling. That’s my bet.

On the way back to Hank’s Bail Bonds, Dog gives Marquise a fatherly talk about never hitting a woman. Marquise thanks him for it.

The next day, Beth decides to head back to the office early to give Dawn and Ruby a little tough love about their paperwork skills before the men come in and try to hunt off of a seriously incomplete bond. She piles Ruby and Dawn into her truck for a little lesson in what it’s like to be Oscar and Will.

Meanwhile, Oscar, Will and Leland head off to the firing range for a little firearms training. Will was in the Marines, so Leland’s confident of his skillset, but he wants to see what Oscar can do. They’ve set up a little run-dodge-and-shoot obstacle course, complete with moving targets. Will aces it. Oscar’s a pretty good shot, too. Leland is happy with what he sees.

When the ladies arrive at the address on the bond, Beth instructs Dawn and Ruby to head behind the house so no one can escape out the back door. Dawn looks like she seriously did not sign up for this part of the job and wanders just a few steps, looking nervously back at Beth. “Move it, move it, move it!” Beth commands. Ruby and Dawn are not serious students of move-it. At all.

Beth knocks on the front door, then asks Dawn, who has reappeared, why a housekeeper and babysitter has qualified for a $ 7,000 bond. Sonny has made contact with a young couple at a side entrance who tell the group that the woman they are searching for was evicted and moved out.

On the way back to the office, Beth tells the ladies that the business won’t last a year if they don’t get their act together — Dawn especially. Dawn starts to sputter excuses and Beth tells her to cut the sniveling and commit to the job, because if her name is on the bond, anything that a bounty hunter does from the information she hands him is her responsibility. Dawn starts to well up. Beth says she’s not trying to get down on the rattled woman, but Dawn needs to understand the seriousness of her job. Dawn says she finally gets it. I wonder if Dawn will quit when the cameras stop rolling.

Then Ruby checks in with Grandpa Hank and tells him that they’re out of leads on the case. Grandpa Hank says to call it a day. “Oh no,” says an incredulous Beth. Ruby gets the two-word message. “Oh no,” she tells Grandpa Hank.

For their next capture, the Chapman crew calls in their ginormous black rolling command center. The fugitive is Quran Wiggins, charged with unlawful carrying of a deadly weapon and on the run for 9 months. Quran also get in a battle with the cop who was trying to arrest him. Beth says they want to be able to use their own cutting edge resources to bring this guy down.

Oscar says that he and Will have had Quran cornered a couple of times, but he always manages to get away. The bad guy has also told the bounty hunters via phone calls that they will never bring him in.

I’m pretty sure today’s not your day, Quran.

Again, we turn to an aunt for information. Oscar says the woman is more straight as a question mark than straight as an arrow, but she’s still probably their best bet for cooperation. Dog and Beth meet with the cops who arrested Quran and gather a decent sampling of his mug shots to distribute.

Via Skype, Agent J helps out with more information that Beth tells Oscar and Will and company that they should have secured themselves. Also, Beth has an awesome hot pink ostrich skin iPad stand that I covet.

Dog says their game plan is to make Quran feel flattered by the amount of attention being put on him — “We’re going to make him famous” — but if that doesn’t work, they’ll make sure everyone in town knows who he is and that they’re looking for him, so he has little chance to escape their notice.

Then everyone heads off to canvas Quran’s neighborhood. They’re pretty hard to miss. Folks gather on the street to meet the Chapmans and see what’s going on. Leland promises dinner with his dad to whoever helps them land their bounty

He gets a couple of takers. One guy offers to talk confidentially, and another girl approaches Oscar with the information that Quran — or Kutti, as he’s known in the neighborhood — has been staying with her friend.

Oscar goes with her to see if the lead pans out, while Leland and Will work with the confidential informant and head for an apartment complex. Oscar’s lead pans out. Everyone else speeds over to help. Dog, Leland, Sonny and Oscar take the front door. Everyone else surrounds.

Like Marquise, Quran seems surprised at all of the hubbub over a misdemeanor. Dog tells him it’s a felony, now that he’s been on the run. Then he dusts Quran off and gives him a pat on the chest. On the ride to the jail, Dog wants to know why such a young, solid guy is turning to guns. Oscar reveals that Quran was once a top-notch running back and Dog urges him to get back into ball. Quran looks confounded by the entire affair.

And with that, Hank Bayless is free to get his retirement on, knowing his final two runners are in custody and his daughter, granddaughter and their staff know what they need to do to moderni e his business and make it work.

Next week on Dog and Beth On the Hunt, the Chapmans head to Albuquerque to work with legendary bounty hunter Tony Madrid.

Castle Recap: 'Did You See the Hearts?' Free on klikvideo.com

This week, ABC’s Castle used Season 5′s “bonus” episode to deliver what series creator Andrew W. Marlowe hoped was “the best clip show television has ever seen.” So… was it?

RELATED | Castle Creator Teases ‘Emotional Cliffhanger’ Finale That Sets Up a ‘Complicated’ Season 6

The premise: While chasing a mad bomber, Beckett unwittingly triggers a pressure-sensitive bombing mechanism, forcing her to stand still for an indeterminate amount of time. To help distract Kate from the dire sitch, Rick stuck around and peppered her with questions about their time together as partners both professional and personal. Annnnnd cue flashbacks galore.

PHOTOS | Castle Season 5 Finale First Look — Rick and Kate Face Questions About the Future

Some notable lines/moments from the fresh scenes; please use comments to chime in with others:

* “Did you see the hearts…?”

* “If I had to be stuck not standing on a bomb, then I’m glad I’m stuck with you.”

* “Remember how that turned out?” — Kate, after Rick suggests to the bomb squad that they try “the old Indiana Jones/bag of sand/golden idol trick.”

* Rick pausing a montage of Kate’s naughty bon mots because “I was momentarily distracted by your di ying array of hairstyles over the years.” And Kate capping said montage with: “I can’t help it if you get off by putting things in my mouth.”

* Part of the fun was revisiting Castle‘s huge array of guest stars over the years. Who knew that Dallas bad girl Julie Gon alo had once been on?

* Esposito putting Kate and Rick on speakerphone, then tuning out, as they compare notes over who made whom jealous.

* Caskett’s shared dubbing of Martha Interruptus as “the scariest [experience] of all.”

* How fun was the montage of them speaking at same time? But for pure emotion, my favorite montage may have been the Beckett’s Greatest Hits one narrated by Captain Montgomery.

* “Always.”

* “Oh for heaven’s sake, detective, just kiss the man!” — Captain Gates, putting to rest that burning question (and then adding for good measure, “He deserves it.”)

But of course, no above moment compares to those four little words, delivered with Stana Katic’s take-no-prisoners simultaneous double tear: “Rick. I love you.” (Though “I think we’re just getting started” could run a close-ish second.)

What did you think of “Still”? Is it odder than ever that this was to run before “Squab and the Quail,” which opened with Rick acting so indifferent to his lady love? And while I can’t say I have a great recollection of “clip shows” from Happy Days and the like, yeah, this one was incredibly entertaining. And the bombing case was pretty intense and well-paced, though the eventual cracking of the code was a bit of a stretch.

Revenge Episode Preview: Rules of Engagement Free on klikvideo.com

It’s started.

Only one new episode remains before the two-hour Revenge Season 2 finale, and the title of next Sunday’s installment, “Engagement,” clearly refers to more than one couple’s impending nuptials.

The mother of all face-offs awaits between Emily, who’s laser-focused on her payback plan once again, and Victoria, who appears to be on the verge of calling out her adversary like never before.

After the events of last night’s episode (see our review of “Identity”), Emily plots her next move while assuming her new role as Daniel’s fiancee, as Aiden struggles with the pair’s re-engagement.

At the same time, Jack learns more than he bargained for, and desperate times call for desperate measures as Conrad’s gubernatorial poll numbers slip after Victoria’s big reveal on Nightline.

Oh, and Takeda and his samurai sword have their own agenda, too.

How will everything play out next week and set up the “Truth” that comes out on the May 12 season-ender? Check out the promo for “Engagement” and share your predictions below:

Game of Thrones Recap: Betrothed, Bewildered and Bothered (Not to Mention Bathed and Boffed) Free on klikvideo.com

If David Tutera ever needs to take a week off of My Fair Wedding, he need look no further than Game of Thrones‘ Tywin Lannister. The speed with which Papa Lion arranges for two of his children’s marriages in this week’s episode is impressive  — and would leave plenty of time for dithering between “celery-” or “sea foam-” hued bridesmaids’ gowns. Meanwhile, the elder Lannister son engages in a bathtub confession that is far less sexy and far more moving than it sounds, and Jon Snow does the wild thing with a wildling. Let’s see what all of your favorites were up to in “Kissed by Fire.”

RELATED | Season Finale Scoopapaloo a: More Than 100 Spoilers on Your Fave Series’ Endgames

HOUSE LANNISTERS: THE-UNTOLD-STORY EDITION | Jaime and Brienne’s captors bring them to Roose Bolton, who releases Brienne and apologi es for her treatment, then sends Jaime to get some medical attention. The maester removes Jaime’s bandage and — once I stop dry heaving — Jaime refuses milk of the poppy while the “corrupted” flesh is cut away and the infection is burned off. He screams. A lot.

Later, he bathes – choosing to strip and hop in Brienne’s tub instead of the empty one adjacent to it. He makes a crack about how poorly she protected Renly, which makes her stand and nearly charge him, boobs be damned. He immediately apologi es and, good God is this possible?, seems like he truly means it. “You’ve protected me better than most,” he admits, then asks for a truce. “You need trust to have a truce,” she says warily. “I trust you,” he responds quietly.

Maybe his defenses are so low that he doesn’t care what happens to him. Maybe he truly sees Brienne as someone who might understand him. Whatever the reason, Jaime then tells the entire story behind his “Kingslayer” moniker, and here’s the condensed version: The Mad King, true to his name, hid pockets of glowing, green, explosive wildfire all over the city. When Robert Baratheon stormed the city and Tywin was only looking out for himself, Jaime urged the king to surrender peacefully… but Maester Pycelle suggested that the king trust the Lannister head. “So he opened the gates, and my father sacked the city,” Jaime says sadly.

Another plea for surrender ended with the king ordering Jaime to bring him Tywin’s head and ordering the pyromancers to destroy the city — men, women, children, everyone. Jaime looks at Brienne, near tears, and asks, “Would you have kept your previous oath then?” In the end, he killed the pyromancer and ran his sword through the king, then slit the monarch’s throat on the off chance that King Aerys was going to be reborn as a dragon, as he believed he would be. And that is when Ned Stark walked in and, in a split second, made up his mind about what had happened. In Jaime’s depleted state, the anger and sadness over the memory nearly makes him pass out; Brienne catches him in her arms, the two of them forming a watery pietá. She yells for someone to help the Kingslayer. “Jaime. My name is Jaime,” he whispers shakily.

HOUSE LANNISTER: GETTIN’-DRAGGED-TO-THE-CHAPEL EDITION | Tyrion and Lady Olenna meet to discuss the bill for Joffrey and Margaery’s wedding. She agrees to help financially, but owns him (it’s rare someone can leave Tyrion speechless; it’s pretty awesome to witness) when she says, “I was told you were drunk, impertinent and thoroughly debauched. You can imagine my disappointment at finding nothing but a browbeaten bookkeeper.”

Tyrion later thinks he’s being called to a meeting with Tywin to report his success, but is surprised to see Cersei there and even more surprised to hear that, to thwart the Tyrell’s plan to marry Sansa to Ser Loras, he is now Lady Stark’s intended. See, if they marry, the Lannisters will have “the key to the north” – i.e. heir-to-Winterfell (if Robb dies) Sansa – and will be much more powerful than the Tyrells. Cersei looks mighty pleased with herself – “This is more than you deserve,” she hisses at her gobsmacked younger brother — because her intel helped bring this development into being… but just wait, blondie. Daddy Lannister then announces that Cersei will marry Loras instead, tying everything up nicely and putting “an end to the disgusting rumors about you, once and for all.”

THE WILDINGS: JON-SNOW-KNOWS-SOMETHING EDITION | The men Mance sent with Jon to the wall still don’t trust the former Night’s Watch brother, but one plucky, redheaded wilding most definitely has his back… and she’s about to have a lot more. Ygritte steals his weapon and makes him chase her into a cave full of waterfalls and pools to get it back. But she’s got a different sword on her mind, which becomes clear as she starts to strip. “You swore some vows,” she says matter-of-factly, the skins of many dead animals hitting the ground until she’s nekkid. “I want you to break ‘em.”

Jon’s face as he beholds her bare form, by the way, is a hilarious mixture of sheer terror and rapt reverie.  He makes minimal effort to stop her from kissing him, but it’s all over when he wraps her in his arms and abandons himself to the task at hand. (With him still fully dressed in all of his furs and her bareassed, the effect is a little like Chewbacca wandered into a soft-core flick and decided to make himself at home.) Ygritte starts to tease Snow about still being dressed, but her mocking is cut short as he drops out of the frame; pretty soon, winter isn’t the only thing that’s coming. (Side note: As they later discuss, Ygritte is Jon’s first — though not vice-versa. And he clearly rocked her world in a way that – wait, is my mom reading this? Mom, if you are, you can stop here. Nothing of interest happens later in this recap. Bye! – takes a bit of time and instruction to master. Maybe Podrick’s offering some kind of correspondence course?)

HOUSE STARK: RINGSIDE EDITION | Arya has a front-row seat as Beric Dondarrion prepares for his fight-to-the-death with the Hound. “Show us the truth. Strike this man down if he is guilty, give strength to his sword if he is true,” Beric prays to the Lord of Light just before both men arm themselves. Though Clegane is bigger and stronger, Dondarrion’s clearly got some mystical mojo working for him: He slices his palm and sets his blade against the wound, then the entire sword burst into flame and stays that way throughout the fight.  When he lights the Hound’s shield on fire, it looks like the Banned Brotherhood’s leader is going to win. But then, Clegane wheels around and lands his weapon in Beric’s chest near his shoulder, and the smaller man collapses as his blood arcs through the air.

Thoros falls upon his friend and immediately starts praying, but Arya ain’t got no time for that. She grabs a knife, makes a beeline for the Hound (who’s whee ing with fatigue on the ground nearby) and nearly gets to him before she’s detained. “Burn in hell!” she screams but is interrupted by Beric’s voice. Whaaa? “He will,” the revived man promises. “But not today.” Against young Lady Stark’s wishes, the brute is released – and she’s got another blow coming:  Gendry has decided to stay with the brotherhood. “I’m done serving,” the smith tells his ticked-off travel companion, who wants him to join Robb’s army instead. “I never had a family,” he says, trying to make her understand how he belongs somewhere for the first time in his life. “I could be your family,” she says; the naked need in her voice makes me ache. “You’d never be my family,” he replies, but his voice is kind. “You’d be m’lady.”

Later, Thoros informs Arya that they’ll take her to Riverrun and ransom her to her family — not because they want to, but because they need the money. Also of note: Thoros has brought Beric back from the dead six times, but “Every time I come back, I’m a bit less.” After the earlier exchange with Gendry, Arya just about ends me when she meekly asks, “Could you bring back a man without a head? Not six times, just once.” And for the first time in a long while, I’m reminded exactly how young Ned’s younger daughter actually is.

HOUSE STARK: IT’S-KINDA-HARD-OUT-HERE-FOR-A-KING-OF-THE-NORTH EDITION | Rickard Karstark, the father of one of the men Jaime killed, and a few other men murder the Lannister boys Robb’s keeping as POWs. Robb lobs off Karstark’s head for it, thereby losing the loyalty of the dead man’s men. After talking to Talisa, the King in the North comes up with a new plan: He’s going to take Casterly Rock, the seat of House Lannister, but he’s going to need more men. So he settles on the army belonging to Walder Frey, the only forces that haven’t yet taken a side in the fighting. If Frey’s name sounds familiar, it’s because he’s the father of the woman Robb was supposed to marry but jilted in order to wed Talisa. Don’t worry, Robb. I’m sure he’s totally over the slight…

Now it’s your turn. What did you think of the episode? Did you get a little verklempt when Grey Worm told his Khaleesi why he was keeping his name? Did you immediately fall in love with Stannis’ neglected little girl? Is your fear for Sansa’s fate mounting as the weeks pass? Sound off in the comments!
