While at first it seemed like April was going to be sidelined in “Animal Control,” the entire main story wound up being about her and her ascent, thanks to a “brilliant idea from a tortured genius,” to the position of Deputy Director of Animal Control. It probably helped that she’s half wolf and likes her hands to be cracked and dry like a railway worker. She even made Jamm “retro-Jamm” himself! Or themselves. Actually, I’m not sure who got “retro-Jammed” here.
